What kind of help is available?

The Washington District of SCORE is a team of over 200 nationally certified volunteer mentors, who provide free professional counseling to aspiring entrepreneurs and current small business owners of all types in the Washington and Northern Idaho.

As a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), SCORE has helped more than 11 million entrepreneurs through mentoring, workshops and educational resources since 1964. 

Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Setting up a business

  • Mentoring

  • Licensing

  • Marketing

  • Financing

What is the cost?

Our services are offered to Washington based small businesses at no-cost.

Washington Women's Business Centers

What kind of help is available?

Women’s Business Centers represent a national network of nearly 100 educational centers designed to assist women start and grow small businesses. The WBCs operate with the mission to “level the playing field” for women entrepreneurs, who still face unique obstacles in the world of business. Through the management and technical assistance provided by the WBCs, entrepreneurs (especially women who are economically or socially disadvantaged) are offered comprehensive training and counseling on a variety of topics in many languages to help them start and grow their own businesses.

Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Planning or growing your business

  • Individual consulting

  • Acquiring capital and managing cash flow

  • Buying or selling businesses

Our services are offered to Washington based small businesses at no-cost.

There are three Women' Business Centers around the state. These centers provide service for the entire state.

What kind of help is available?

Your regional Associate Economic Development Organization (ADO) will have access to free and low cost assistance in your region.

Assistance may include: 

  • Finding sites for to establish your business

  • Information for and about your region 

  • Links to regional resources
